Rachel Berry


Rachel blends her background in herbalism, health psychology, public health, sustainable living and permaculture to help empower others to use herbal medicine at home for health and wellness.  She has participated in several formal herbal training programs from various Northern California herbalists, including Donna d’Terra, Kathi Keville and Candis Cantin. She has gained some of her deepest herbal knowledge from using herbs for treating family ailments for over a decade, as well as using plants to heal from her own debilitating case of Lyme disease.

Rachel taught courses in women’s health and healing at Northern Arizona University for many years, and now teaches primarily in Northern California, empowering others to use herbal medicine at home for health and wellness. She teaches frequently at the the HAALo Herb Shoppe, as well as other venues, including Esalen in Big Sur, the Regenerative Design Institute in Bolinas, and more.

Rachel is also an avid wildcrafter, and she and her husband Matt Berry offer a seasonal Wild Food & Medicine CSA in Nevada City. Read more about Rachel via her Sierra Botanica website.
